Seismic Interpretations and Reservoir Modelling
How can Seismic Data help in Oil & Gas projects?
Seismic data help to find oil & gas reservoirs, to evaluate them and to estimate their volumes. The internal architecture of a geologic body, the orientation and thickness of single strata as well as dominant structural features i.e., faults can be seen on seismic data.
Typically, our seismic services include the following line items:
- Seismic stratigraphy and fault interpretation
- Integration of well data such as BHI data, core data etc., and upscaling to seismic scale
- Interpretation of sedimentary environments, electro-facies
- Identification of main tectonic phases (e.g., pre-, syn-, post-rift; basin inversion)
- Detailed geometry of the fault system and the numerous subtle lineaments analyzed
- Manual mapping of the major regional faults done inline and cross line
- Attribute and AVO Analysis
- Regional synthesis and basin evolution
- Inversion
What is the difference when seismic interpretations are done by NiMBUC Geoscience?
NiMBUC Geoscience has added seismic interpretations to its service portfolio to fill the gap between BHI Data and the large scale seismic data. Deriving from Borehole Image Logs and Core Analysis, we are used to look at reservoirs in much smaller scale.
However, this drives us to look at seismic data with scrutiny and we always seek to enrich our seismic interpretations with other high detailed data, if available.
