Consulting on Borehole Logging for a Geothermal Project

We have been asked by a client to consult them on defining the optimal logging program for a deep geothermal project in Southwestern Germany. The project site is situated in the Upper Rhine Graben, which is not only one of the most geothermally prolific regions in Germany and France but also a seismically active region.

Therefore the acquisition of profound petrophysical data as well as geophysical data is necessary to maintain safe and sucessful drilling and later operation phases.

The geothermal doublet is planned with multi-lateral wells to enhance production and injection of the water. The whole project is accompanied by a research project, that requires more downhole data compared with a regular geothermal well.
